The Design Competition Survey & Conference

Multidisciplinary design and brand agency Bruce Mau Design helped the Van Alen Institute to investigate the state of design competitions, by producing a playful visual identity for their entire conference, survey results and communication tools. The investigation aimed to question the impact design competitions have on designers, creativity and the public through an online survey and a conference that would build upon the respondents insights. Through the use of a dazzling colour palette, light hearted iconography and bold headings, Bruce Mau Design ensured the identity felt optimistic yet investigative and intellectual yet fun.
